The objective of this manual is to provide a clear outline of how to manage the facility’s Housekeeping and Laundry Departments. The manual will review the job descriptions for each position within the department, work routines that explain in detail what each employee must complete during each shift, in-services for all Housekeeping and Laundry Services employees and Policy and Procedures outlining the expectations for operations of the department. The facility will follow all local, state and federal laws in the cleaning processes at the facility.
Each Housekeeping and Laundry Services Department must be managed by a qualified employee. The Director of the department is a full-time employee that is qualified by both training and experience. The Director of Housekeeping and Laundry Services will make updates to this manual as local, state and federal laws change. The manual is to be reviewed routinely and signed by the Housekeeping and Laundry Services Director and Facility Administrator.
