MDS 3.0 Preparation Training

CMS is changing the Minimum Data Set (MDS) from the MDS 3.0 (v)1.17.2 to the MDS 3.0 (v)1.18.11 effective October 1, 2023.  In addition, the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) manual will also be updated to support the changes in the MDS. (DRAFT out 4/3/2023) 

This alacarte option provides access to a recording of our training events, as part of our P3 Program. 

The trainings are being offered once a month, for fourth months, from June to September 2023. The recording, as offered here, will be available following the live event.

Topics Include

June 2023: Outline impact of the changes (financial and regulatory), Review MDS and concurrent RAI changes Sections A through GG. Preparation on the impact of removal of Section G.

July 2023: Continue with review of changes MDS and RAI Sections H through Z, training support for teams and consulting follow up from June tasks.

August 2023: Care Planning focus (focused on removal of Section G.)

September 2023: Quality Reporting Program (QRP) and implications, ongoing consulting support.
